1. For whom is the device?
RentingLock was created for people and companies involved in short-term lease of premises, especially apartments, hotels and offices.

2. For how long can I rent a property using RentingLock?
RentingLock can generate code for a period of 1 hour to 256 hours (10.5 days), depending on how long the property owner has chosen.

3. Is RentingLock safe?
Cracking the code is very unlikely. The probablity of an accidental opening of the buckle set of digits is about 1:40000. In other words, it is 10 times safer than cracking credit card.

4. How did the customer knows how to enter the code into the lock?
When generating access code on RentingLock, the property owner gives clients e-mail addresses or phone numbers, on which they receive access code

5. What are the advantages that the lock does not require an Internet connection?
This limits the minimum technical requirements for both property owner and the customer who does not need to use any device or application to properly use RentingLock

6. Does the customer need t ohave any additional application installed on the phone?
Nope. The simplicity of use and the minimum requirements is one of the advantages of RentingLock. In order to open the door, customer only has to enter correct code.

7. What if I want to rent a property for more than 10 days?
For safety reasons, the maximum period for which you can generate an access code is 256 hours (10.5 days). To rent a property for a longer period of time, you simply generate a new code for the next period.

8. How many times can I enter the wrong access code when opening the lock?
For safety reasons, you have five attempts. At the fifth unsuccessful attempt to open, the lock is locked. To unlock the device, customer have to enter 13-digit PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code. Then, to open the door, enter a valid access code.

9. Can I open the lock without code or Internet connection?
Of course! There is a real metal key included. We call it backup key.

10. Does the PUK code opens the doors?
Definitely no! It only unlocks the lock when it is locked. In other cases it is useless.

11. How I generatre codes?
Property owner generates codes with a generator available on our website. All you need to do is selecting date-times of the lease, enter customers e-mail addresses or phone numbers, and that's it.

12. Can I use lock without generating code on renting lock?
It is necessary to generate code on our website to properly use RentingLock. Apart from this, the lock can be opened with the traditional key which is supplied.

13. What if the lock will not fit into my doors?
The RentingLock fits to a vast majority of the doors. Regardless, if you order the lock from a website, you have 14 days to send it back, without giving any reason. In this case, we will refund you cost of purchase. However, the cost of sending product back to us in on you.
